Words Of Inspiration For June Week 3

Words Of Inspiration

Here are the various words of inspiration I found and posted on my Motivation Facebook page for June week 3.

“The only thing between you and your heart’s desire is what you have yet to learn about yourself.” ~ Guy Finley

‎”No man can succeed in a line of endeavor which he does not like.” ~ Napoleon Hill

“No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you absolutely, positively do have the power to change.” – Bill Phillips

“Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.” ~ C.S. Lewis

I really like the one above by Bill Phillips as it suggests no matter who we are and in what state or level, we still hold the power to change ourselves for the better.  We just have to make the commitment to start.

Here are the other words of inspiration I posted for the week.

“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.” ~ Arthur C. Clarke

“When anger rises, think of the consequences.” ~ Confucius

‎”Real glory springs from the silent conquest of ourselves.” ~ Joseph P. Thompson

The ancient line above by Confucius rings especially loud given the recent riots in Vancouver last week.   Crowds couldn’t control their anger after the NHL hockey Stanley Cup final game when Boston Bruins beat the home team Vancouver Canucks.  Cars were overturned and lit into flames.  Brawls broke out and people started to smash windows and loot downtown stores.

Vancouver’s image and reputation around the world sank to a low as the news were broadcast globally.  It will take a long time before the city can restore its image back to the Winter Olympics days all because of some hooligans who could not control their anger and as Confucius suggested, did not think of the consequences.  Many were caught on camera and video so they will be caught by police in time.  They apparently did not think about this particular consequence during their rampage on camera.
