Motivational Keynote Speaker Shares College Experience

Since there seems to be quite a few of may readers who are either in their college years or about to enter college/university and worried about getting through without failing out.  Therefore, I thought that I would do some service by sharing with you some very effective study skills I used. Although it has been quite a long time since this motivational keynote speaker was in college, these skills would still apply today.

Just some backgrounder – I started to go for a B.Comm but my first year grades were so terrible that I couldn’t get into the program. This motivational keynote speaker almost failed the entire year. I opted to pursue a B.Sc and even my second year was pretty awful.

Like a lot of other students who were doing bad, I was cramming for tests and exams which was very stressful. But during the summer right after my second year, I modified my study habits significantly and as a result, ended up graduating with my B.Sc with about a B+ average by the end of the fourth year.

This along with decent GMAT scores got me into MBA school which ended up being the most challenging academic program I have ever encountered. We needed a B average just to stay in the program and after the first semester, we lost about 25% of our entry class.

However, with my modified study skills, I managed to get through my MBA okay.

Motivational Keynote Speaker Reveals Effective Study Skills

I wrote an article and even shot a video about these study skills I used a few years back to help out college students since I speak at colleges on occasion. They describe exactly what is involved so that students no longer have to cram for exams.

Instead of rewriting the article, here it is along with a video at Effective Study Skills For College Students.

Hopefully, this will be of some use to the college students here since I know that it costs a lot of money for college and it would be a real shame to fail out with no degree to show for it.

If you are taking any summer courses, use the method I described in my article and video immediately.  If you are not returning to campus until September, now is the time to think about such a modification to your study habits so that you can begin to utilize these study skills right at the beginning of your new school year.  Of course, the study skills I presented will be effective for high school students as well.
