Revving Up Social Media For Unity Power Force

Unity Power Force To Go Big On Social Media

Above are five of the most popular social media platforms from left to right; Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. My community project Unity Power Force which promotes antiracism and antidiscrimination has pages on all of the above except for Twitter. I have a YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts separate from Unity Power Force but lately they haven’t been all that active as I’m putting a lot of time into Unity Power Force instead.

Unity Power Force is on its own separate Facebook page, TikTok, Instagram as well as its own YouTube channel too and will be going big on these. I’ve been learning how to do things to reach more people and to keep in touch with those whom are already connected with Unity Power Force on these social media because it turns out that the younger demographic prefer to be on TikTok and Instagram rather than on Facebook.

Although I’m not abandoning Facebook by any means, the reality is that this platform is now like a ‘boomers central’ which is a demographic that is not known to be extremely receptive to what Unity Power Force is going to be offering, especially with new music projects.

Older folks are generally still listening to the same music they listened to when they were in college or university and still on CDs or even cassettes. The audience who is receptive to newer music is on music streaming platforms like Spotify which is why we need to expand our activity to these other social media platforms like TikTok.

Unity Power Force has its own website too and on most of its regular (non-blog) webpages you will find graphic links to all the four social media platforms we are on. Clicking on any of them will bring you to the Unity Power Force page on the specific social media.

Regular Posting Of Shorts and Reels Videos

One of the main things Unity Power Force will be doing on social media is posting shorts or reels which are extremely short video clips of 15 seconds. These have become very popular especially on TikTok and the other social media platforms have come out with similar areas to post such short videos. We’ll try to post several each week as they will be connected to a thought, story or idea around what Unity Power Force is doing especially with our music activities. Many will have some reference to promoting antiracism and antidiscrimination.

Here is an example of one of the shorts posted at the social media platforms for Unity Power Force. Again these shorts will NOT be posted at this website and I would encourage you to go over to Unity Power Force and sign up for its own email alerts plus get on one of the four social media platforms if you would like to stay up to date with what Unity Power Force is doing.
