Motivational Phrase Set For April Week 3

Motivational Phrase Set

The motivational phrase set I posted throughout April week 3 is here.  Let’s see what we have.

“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” ~ J.K. Rowling

‎”What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” – John Lubbock

“Be true to you. He who trims himself to suit everyone will soon whittle himself away.” ~ Raymond Hull

‎”The amount of people that fails is directly proportionate to the amount of people that give up.” – Joseph McClendon III

‎”We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done.” ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“Forgive yourself for your faults and your mistakes and move on.” – Les Brown

‎”Instead of wondering when your next vacation is you ought to set up a life you don’t need to escape from.” ~ Seth Godin

As you can see, there is some nice variety here in this little set.  It’s really neat to see a motivational phrase from J.K. Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter series.  It’s also good to come across one by Les Brown who just happens to be the first ever motivational speaker I ever saw live when he came to Toronto many years ago.

The last quote from this motivational phrase set by Seth Godin really jumps out at me.  It tells us that we really have to create our lives so that we don’t need vacations just to escape from our day to day living.  If we live only for the few weeks of vacation time we get each year, then it’s really a big shame that the rest of our year, i.e., the vast part of our lives, is suffering.  We really have to live our lives the way we really want to and the biggest step is starting action towards that goal.
