Apparently, there are many speaking opportunities here in the Ontario area through Toastmasters via the district’s speakers bureau. Groups and companies call for good speakers to come to them for speaking engagements. It’s a win win situation for all since these groups know that they will get decent speakers since only accomplished Toastmasters participate in the speakers bureau and there is no speaking fees involved. The Toastmasters get more exposure and experience in speaking to groups outside of Toastmasters functions.
As soon as I have expanded my present 15 minute motivational speech to about 30 minutes, I will apply for the Toastmasters speakers bureau in both districts 86 and 60 here in Ontario.
