I’m currently in discussion with some organizations to be their motivational sales speaker since these companies have upcoming meetings with their entire sales forces. These meetings would fit in rather nicely with my talks since I do have a corporate sales background. In the meantime, I’ve had some interesting feedback from one of my Motivational WebTV episodes.

A few weeks ago, I released my sharks adventure video and I got some questions back from some people who wanted to know why the sharks did not attack me or the other divers. So I thought that I would try to give an explanation here in case others were wondering as well.

Why The Sharks Did Not Attack

The sharks in the video were known as Caribbean Black Tip Reef sharks and the oufit (UNEXSO) that runs these shark dives conduct them several times per week all year round. So these sharks are conditioned in a way and are only interested in the food that the divemaster brings.

They are not interested in any of the other divers at all. Once they see the food bucket turned over by the divemaster, they know that all the food has been used up so they disperse.

That’s why even though one of the shark’s belly graced the top of my head at one point, I along with the other divers, never really felt that we were in danger. As long as we didn’t do anything stupid like trying to grab onto a shark’s fin to hitch a ride, we were okay.

My favourites are the dolphin calendars since dolphins are my favourite marine animal.  I have a feeling that most people out there like dolphins as well.
