Web Of Trust Well Intended But Obviously Flawed

Web Of Trust Unsafe Websites

There is something out there called Web Of Trust which rates various websites and lets people know if certain sites are unsafe or not.  This of course is a good idea and the program is well intended.

However, the Web Of Trust is obviously flawed especially when it comes to how it rated two of my websites – the one that you are on right now – ClintCora.com and my pharmaceutical sales careers website, GetPharmaceuticalSalesJob.com

There are several comments at the Web Of Trust site that claim that both of my websites here are Clickbank scam sites.   What the heck?  Most of these comments are coming from anonymous German IDs since there is German text all warning people that my websites are unsafe.

Now, those of you who have been visiting my websites for some time now, you know that my websites have nothing to do with any Clickbank scams out there.  The only thing I have in connection with Clickbank, which is the largest retailer of digital products and very reputable, is that some of my books are sold through Clickbank, namely the ebook versions.

The titles that I have on Clickbank are the digital versions of the following;

1) The Life Champion In You

2) How To Get A Dream Job In Pharmaceutical Sales

3) Potty Train Your Puppy With A Dog Litterbox

These are all legitimate titles and there is nothing scammy about them!

Web Of Trust Taken Advantage Of

I have a feeling that the folks who rated my websites as unsafe are the same people who try to spam the comments sections of my blogs.  They then realize that I have a moderated system and no spam comments get through to my blogs.

So as retaliation, they make false claims through Web Of Trust that my websites are unsafe.  How nasty is that?

Of course, my many readers know better.  There’s nothing unsafe about my websites and I’m not connected with any scam whatsoever out there.  If you use Web Of Trust at all, I would really appreciate if you could comment on their system about my websites to set these spammers wrong.

So although the Web Of Trust concept is worthy, it is really unfortunate that spammers and hackers seem to be using it to retaliate against websites they are unsuccessful with.
