I spoke at an executive networking meeting this morning at the Metro Toronto Convention Ctr and did my ‘Kick Down Diversity Barriers For Success’ presentation. Again, one of the tips I gave them was to be proactive and use diversity success stories in job interviews. Many companies want people who can work well with many types of people, ie., have great diversity skills. To talk about your past successes with diversity will really make you stand above the rest of the job market crowd since most of your competitors wouldn’t even be thinking about talking about diversity during a job interview or an interview for a promotion to a more senior position.
