Here’s an article about the response of the Russian leaders to the less than stellar performance of the Russian team at the recent Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Personally, I think they are being too hard on their team. From what I’m reading, it’s all negative and nothing positive which is not the way to show leadership in my opinion. Of course, we might not know the whole story. I just hope the athletes are still congratulated for their efforts. True leadership is about supporting your people positively and helping them with areas of improvement in an encouraging way.
