Dolphins In Motivational Videos
What’s your favourite animal? Actually, let’s narrow that down just in case you say dogs or cats (my own choice would be dogs). What’s your favourite marine animal?
For a lot of people, the response will likely be dolphins since they are much like the doggies of the seas and they seem to like people a lot. Then there’s that silly smile they always seem to have.
Close Encounters With Dolphins
While many people have seen dolphins showing their antics at places like Sea World and other aquariums around the world, I’ve had a few close encounters with dolphins. This is when I got to be in the water with them and touch them.
The first time was down in the Florida Keys at a dolphin center where there are regular swim sessions available with the resident dolphins there. I got to do some of the basic tricks with them like having them jump out of the water, ‘dance’ with them and get pulled along the water surface by hanging onto their dorsal fin.
This was a great experience. However, my second and third close encounters with live dolphins were even more spectacular. These were near Freeport, Grand Bahama Island where there is a scuba diving excursion with these marine mammals through the UNEXSO dive center.
Although you have to be a certified scuba diver in order to participate, these dolphin dives are very special. Instead of the swims in Florida where you stay on the surface of the water with them, for the dives you get to see and interact with them in their own underwater habitat which is the open ocean.
It is here underwater when you can really see just how fast and versatile they are in the water. They move lightning fast like rockets. The interactions themselves were very special as well.
Motivational Videos Viewed Over Half Million Times
I even had one of my dolphin dives shot on video and it has been view over 525,000 times on YouTube to date. I turned a version of this scuba diving with dolphins video into an episode of Motivational WebTV and it is one of the best motivational videos I’ve done.
It shows that by expanding my own comfort zone in the water (I was a late learner in swimming), I was able to experience some things in life that I would never have dreamt of ever doing. Probably one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had was these two dolphin dives.
By expanding your own comfort zones in certain areas of your life, you will become a new person with additional skills. These skills will open doors for you that were either closed before or some you didn’t even know existed. You will then be able to experience life in a way that is much more fulfilling.
