Motivational Learning Never Stops

Motivational Learning

Many folks think that learning stops at college graduation or even high school graduation.  The sad truth is that the life skills that will turn out to be the most useful for you in life is learned after formal education at school finished.  Successful people in life never stop learning and I think it’s a motivational learning for them.

The cool thing about motivational learning is that you get to learn about the topics that you really want to learn.  They could be certain skills related to your career or business or external to them.  And if they are skills that you don’t like, maybe it’s a sign that you should switch careers or business fields.

Motivational Learning Is For Everyone

Motivational learning is when you are so motivated to continue learning because of either the subject matter and/or the way that further training is done, you always look forward to it whether it be in the form of attending seminars, conferences, classes or self home study in the form of CDs, DVDs, or books – I humbly offer you my line of books and audio programs for your motivational learning.

As I write this post today, I’m off to my own annual Professional Development Program as a certified ski instructor with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA).  As a member, I’m suppose to take this PDP session as they are known, every three years.  However, since I get training for half day from senior Level 4 instructors in a fun way on the ski slopes, I always end up choosing to take a PDP each winter.

Now this is a great example of motivational learning.  I really want to take my PDP every single winter even though I’m not required to.  There’s always something to learn from senior ski instructors and it’s in a fun social atmosphere too with other professional certified ski instructors like myself.

What about you?  Can you think of areas where you have motivational learning opportunities too?  Please feel free to comment below on your examples of motivational learning.
