Motivation Quotes Posted

Here are the motivation quotes I posted at my Motivation Facebook page during the first part of August.

“Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.” – Unknown

“Education’s purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one.” ~ Malcolm Forbes

“I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.” – Malcolm X

“Everyone enjoys doing the kind of work for which he is best suited.” – Napoleon Hill

“Taking a realistic view and cultivating a proper motivation can also shield you against feelings of fear and anxiety.” – Dalai Lama

“We’ve all been given a gift, the gift of life.  What we do with our lives is our gift back.” ~ Edo

Out of the above motivation quotes, I really like the one last one by Edo.  It’s a reminder that if more of us really put more effort into living our lives with purpose rather than just casually living day to day, just imagine how much better our world will become.

We will be able to use our resources more efficiently and people just might care about one another more.  We will also perhaps finally put an end to wars and conflicts to finally evolve more towards our true potential.

Here are the other motivation quotes I posted during the same period.

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.  The meaning of life is to give it away.” – David Viscott

“As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.” ~ Seneca

“What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.” – Oscar Wilde

“The Universe will open doors for you.  It’s your job to walk through them!” ~ Tiffany Kay

“Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.” ~ Plato

“It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.” ~ Sir Edmund Hillary

The motivation quote above by David Viscott is in the same vein as the Edo quote.  Again, it reminds us to really do what we were set out to do in our lives.  Once we discover what those things are and actually do them, they will very much likely benefit others greatly which in turn benefits us.

People in our world who have greatly taught us, entertained us, made our lives better in some way and have contributed significantly to society, are those who have really discovered their gifts.  They are also those who decided that it was not enough to keep those gifts to themselves.  Instead, they chose to utilize their gifts in some way to benefit others.
