Inspirational Readings From February Week 3

Inspirational Readings

Here are the inspirational readings posted at my Motivation Facebook page during the third week of February (plus a few extra days due to my weekend travel).

“If we wait for the moment when everything, absolutely everything is ready, we shall never begin.” ~ Ivan Turgenev

‎”As long as you live, keep learning how to live.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

“If what you are doing is not moving you towards your goals, then it’s moving you away from your goals.” ~ Brian Tracy

“You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile.” ~ Brian Tracy

“Never look back unless you are planning to go that way.” ~ Henry D. Thoreau

‎”Don’t compare yourself to others but be inspired by them.” ~ Leo Babauta

I really like the short quote by Seneca from the above set of inspirational readings since it is a great reminder to us that we should always be learning and growing no matter what stage we are in our lives.

Here’s the next set of inspirational readings that were posted last week.

“Very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene.” ~ Arthur Christopher Benson

‎”The growth of understanding follows an ascending spiral rather than a straight line.” – Joanna Field

‎”Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.” – John Gardner

‎”Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want.” – Jim Rohn

‎”How easy it is to see your brother’s faults,How hard it is to face your own.” – Buddha

“You cannot dream yourself into a character: you must hammer & forge yourself into one.” – Henry Thoreau

I absolutely love the one above by John Gardner.  Again, it’s another quote that is short and to the point.  It suggests that anything in the past is in the past and you can’t dwell on things that happened (or did not happen) in the past.  You must forge on for the future in life.
