Inspirational Phrases Posted End Of 2010
Here are the inspirational phrases I posted during the final week of 2010 at my Motivation Facebook page.
“Always do more than is required of you.” – George S. Patton
”I know that no one can really stop me but myself and that really no one can help me but myself.” ~ Peter Nivio Zarlenga
”He who angers you conquers you.” – Elizabeth Kenny
”I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.” – Thomas Jefferson
”Our past is like a footprint. It only confirms we were there. No burden on our future does it bear.” ~ Jeb Dickerson
“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.” ~ Joseph Clinton Pearce
I love the one by Elizabeth Kenny as it’s one of the shortest yet most powerful of all inspirational phrases I’ve seen. It’s about managing your own emotional intelligence when dealing with difficult people who have the potential to anger you.
Here are the other ones I posted during the final week of last year.
“It’s a funny thing about life. If you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.” William Somerset Maugham
”Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.” – Zig Ziglar
”I’d put my money on solar energy … I hope we don’t have to wait till oil and coal run out before we tackle that.” ~ Thomas Edison, in conversation with Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, March 1931
”Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” – Oprah Winfrey
“Life’s like a play: it’s not the length, but the excellence of the acting that matters.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca
“I can be changed by what happens to me but I REFUSE to be reduced by it.” ~ Maya Angelou
The one above by Thomas Edison of course is great and so ironic in many ways to see it especially during our modern times where we are trying to find alternative energy sources.
