Here are the inspirational phrases that I posted at my Motivation Facebook page during the first week of March.
“Action is the antidote to despair.” – Joan Baez
”To live without hope is to cease to live.” ~ Fyodor Dostoevsky
”Become the kind of leader that people would follow voluntarily; even if you had no title or position.” ~ Brian Tracy
“He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the universe.” ~ Marcus Aurelius
“The days come and go, but they say nothing. And if we do not use the gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
”True miracles are created by men when they use the courage and intelligence that God gave them.” – Jean Anouilh
”Life is an endless process of self-discovery.” – John W. Gardner
I really like the one above by Ralph Emerson as it suggests that we should use every part of our days wisely without wasting too much time. Time is something that we can’t get back. Here are the other inspirational phrases from that week.
“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” ~ Mother Teresa
“It is not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves” ~ Sir Edmund Hillary
”Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.” ~ Winston Churchill
“We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon” ~ Konrad Adenauer
”You never truly understand something, until you can explain it to your grandmother.” ~ Albert Einstein
“Curiosity is one of the permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous mind.” – Samuel Johnson
”Surround yourself with people strong enough to change your mind.” – John Wooden
The one above by Winston Churchill really stands out because it is so ballsy in a way. But it does illustrate the need for us to develop tact as a skill in communications with others. Communication skills using tact will get us further ahead no matter which field we work in.
