Free Toronto Self Defence Seminar

In the last post I mentioned I was starting work on a new self defense video project.   Much of the video footage was being shot at home and additional video featuring self defence students demonstrating the various techniques I’ll be teaching them will also be shot at a special seminar in Toronto.

If you live in the greater Toronto GTA region (or are willing to travel), you have the opportunity to actually attend and participate in this free self defence seminar I’ll be conducting in September.  The date will be Sunday September 22 and will run from 10 am to about 1 pm (with time for a casual social lunch break).

The location will be at High Park in Toronto weather permitting of course.  The exact location within High Park will be announced later in the comments section below.

Self Defence Seminar Aimed At Beginners

This intensive self defence seminar is aimed at beginners with little or no martial arts experience.  In fact, there will be little martial arts content as I’ll be teaching nothing fancy at all.  Instead, I’ll only focus on what I feel are the most effective self defence techniques which are also easiest to learn.

If you are a member of Meetup.com, you can register at my social Meetup group called GTA Free Spirits for the September 22 event.

Don’t worry about the video shoot though since it will only be for volunteers who want to be on video.  The rest of the seminar participants will not be shot in video.

This special self defence seminar is a condensed version of the multi-day self defence program I use to teach to big groups like colleges, health clubs and companies.  Instead of spreading out the content over multiple sessions, we are going to cover everything in one shot.

If interested in attending this free self defense seminar in Toronto on September 22, indicate in the comments below and look for the exact location details which I’ll announce there in September.

And if you can’t make it to Toronto, I hope to have a finished DVD of the program available in the fall.
