Fitness Strategy

Many who work in physically demanding jobs like construction, landscaping and warehousing have unique cases where they get a lot of exercise (sometimes too much) for certain muscle groups.  As a result, you can see that many of these folks are well developed in the body areas they use a lot during their jobs.  However, they still have to pay attention to fitness.

Many construction workers for example, are well developed with their upper bodies since they use their muscles during their day to day work.  However, many of these people are also overweight and pot bellies are often the evidence observed.

So even though these individuals do physical work, they are not fit in some respects.  They might be strong in terms of upper body strength but their cardiovascular fitness may be weak.

Cardio Often Missing In Physically Demanding Jobs

Cardio is often the missing component for those in physically demanding jobs but another key element is flexibility.  So for these people who do use much of their muscles add day, a great fitness strategy to help balance things out would be to focus on cardio activities during workouts as well as stretching.

Cardio will help keep them healthy and stretching to increase flexibility will even help reduce any potential injuries on the job.  These fitness activities are also good for the soul and well being which the muscles use during jobs do not provide.

Eating Healthy To Provide Energy

People who work in physically demanding jobs need to eat healthy in order to get enough energy not only to help them through their jobs, but also do get in their cardio workouts.  Too often, people who work in these jobs will use fatigue as an excuse not to work out.

That’s why it is so important to get a healthy diet so that there is enough fuel for the workouts as part of the overall fitness strategy.
