Personal Development Training

Many of us know about Tony Robbins and other personal development gurus. We see lots of self help books on the shelves at Indigo and Chapters. There’s also a ton of articles and videos online related to improving yourself (of course, I’ve been a steady contributor as well to try and help others).

But sometimes I can’t help buy wonder if people out there, except for the real die hard self help followers of this field, are really taking personal development training seriously.

Are most people just glancing at articles, maybe even nodding their heads in agreement of the principles being presented but only to dismiss the content minutes later?

Are many people just seeing personal development as just some flaky field that really doesn’t work to make any significant impact on their lives?

I wonder if people just give up and accept the status quo in their lives and just chug along with whatever society gives them in terms of their careers, health, finances, and overall well being or happiness.

Personal Development Is Impactful

I know from my own experience, personal development training is very impactful in many ways. If I did not pay any attention to the principles often presented in this field, I would not be where I am today. I would not have achieved many of the things I did.

I’ve had my share of challenges throughout my life as many people have. But without any consious thought of important principles and taking the proper action, I am sure that I would have been beaten down pretty bad over the years.

Personal development training is not hocus-pocus or black magic. It is sensible ways to live and improve your lives. Unfortunately, much of the important elements are never taught to us in formal schooling.

Therefore, we have to learn how to improve ourselves and how to get into the right mindframes for success via other routes even through we have all graduated already from formal education.

So next time you come across something that is remotely related to personal development training, ask yourself if you are really taking things seriously or not and applying the teachings into your life.
