Self Growth This Summer

I have a question for you about self growth.   I’ve talked a lot about the concept of comfort zone in my Motivational WebTV videos.  If you missed it, here’s the very first time I introduced comfort zones on video.  It’s a good review to get familiar with the entire comfort zone concept in achieving success so do check it out if you never saw that episode.

So back to my question for you.  How are you expanding your comfort zone for your own self growth this summer?

Are you doing anything new or improving on some area of life that will take a bit of time and effort this summer?  Or are you just cruising or relaxing all season?

For me as you can guess, I’m always expanding my comfort zone for my own self growth and summer time is no exception.  There are unique opportunities that come up for me due to the warmer weather that I didn’t really have during the winter.  So here are some of the examples of how I’m expanding my comfort zone this summer.

1) Work my swimming back to advanced workout of 70 laps

2) Start a vegetable garden (I’ve never gardened before in my life)

3) Step up memorization of Cantonese speech (put more time in)

4) Train in martial arts weaponry to have decent routines again

5) More quality blog posts and Motivational WebTV videos

6) Make more connections for my business

7) Get my guitar skills back

8) Keep my dogs weight levels healthy and hair free of tangles

9) Develop new personal development resource

Lots Of Opportunities For Self Growth

So you see, I’m a pretty busy guy even during the summer as I keep myself busy in a variety of areas including my business and health.  Hopefully, this list might give you some ideas on what you can also work on this summer in case you didn’t come up with any plans yet.

All of the activities I mentioned contribute to my self growth and they all require some effort to expand my comfort zones in those areas.  If I chose to remain in my comfort zones, I would not experience any improvements in any of those areas by the end of the summer.

Again, if you could use a refresher on video about comfort zones, see my Comfort Zone Introduction video.
