Motivational WebTV #17 Demystifies Comfort Zones For Personal Success

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

#success #motivational #motivation #personaldevelopment —    Here is the next episode of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV.  I talk a lot about comfort zones in both my live motivational and diversity talks as well as in my personal development book ‘The Life Champion In You‘.  The concept of comfort zones is quite common in the world of personal development but it is still a rather hard term to get a good handle on.

This is because comfort zones are mainly internal feelings more than anything else as they are intanglibles to most people.  So a comfort zone can be rather abstract in nature.  This new Motivational WebTV episode will help demystify comfort zones by showing you how they can be seen as tanglible rather than intanglible.

I show you some analogies using various boxes and this is taken straight out of my book and live talks into your computer screen.  People usually get a much better handle on comfort zones how they relate to personal success when they see my interpretation using the boxes.

See the new episode here;

In previous episodes of Motivational WebTV, I showed some examples of comfort zone expansion including one of my favourites which utilizes my karate bo staff weapon.  That is another example taken straight out of my live motivational talks.  In case you missed that particular episode, see it at Karate Weapon Comfort Zone.

I will have a lot more interesting examples of comfort zone expansion including more awesome scuba diving video footage in future episodes of Motivational WebTV coming up and now that you will have seen the boxes in this video, you will be able to relate to the entire concept better and also use it for your own personal success plans.

If you feel that others would benefit from seeing this current episode which demystifies comfort zones, please share it with them as I want to help out as many people as possible.  Feel free to leave your own comments after this blog post or right at my Facebook pages.

Here’s Help If You Always Procrastinate

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

#procrastinate #procrastination #selfhelp — The Motivational WebTV episode on an effective way to stop procrastination was very popular and this tells me that this is a topic of major interest among my readers and viewers.  In fact, when I ask my live audiences how many people have ever procrastinated, every person at my talks end up raising their hands, sometimes both hands!

I talk about what do to if you procrastinate during my full motivational keynote speeches and also cover this topic in detail in my book ‘The Life Champion In You‘.  I recognize that procrastination can significantly hamper one’s efforts to achieve success in life.

If you are always putting certain things off or aside in life, especially the major important tasks that you want to do in order to make any progress, then you will have to do something about this procrastination habit.  Of course it’s no surprise that quite often, the things that you do put off are the unpleasant tasks that require real work.

A fine example is exercise in order to get in shape or lose weight.  Exercise is never an easy thing to do.  You end up sweating (if you exercise properly) and some people just don’t want to sweat.  We all recognize the great benefits of exercise but to actually do it is just too unpleasant for many people.

So we end up procrastinating as we tell ourselves that we will start a fitness program next month when things are not as busy.  Does this sound familiar?  Or we will start a savings program but not until we splurge on that flat screen TV that’s currently on sale.

Yes, we’ve all been there before.  So that’s why in addition to that Motivational WebTV episode, I’ve decided to write a full article on this topic just in case if you are one who tends to procrastinate a lot and could use some further insights into finally beating this habit for good.  See the article on how to stop procrastinating at my website.

Motivational WebTV #16 Inside US Navy Aircraft Carrier USS Midway

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

#motivational #inspirational #motivation #inspiration  – Do I have a special treat for you today in this episode of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV.  If you have never seen the inside of a real US Navy aircraft carrier before, you will really enjoy this video!

During my recent trip to southern California for a mini-speaking tour, I was able to spend some time on the USS Midway, a decommissioned US Navy aircraft carrier now a floating museum in San Diego.  It was enormous and I made sure I brought along my camcorder to shoot video footage for a special episode of Motivational WebTV.

In addition to the scenes showing you the various parts of the aircraft carrier, I did the editorial scenes in my hotel room as I related the facts of the USS Midway to a motivational quote by Robert Collier.

Collier’s quote, “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out” not only reflects how the crew of the USS Midway operated, but also pertains to your goals in life as well as you will see in the video.

This is the first combined issue of Motivational Quotes Success Newsletter which comes out at the beginning of each month and Motivational WebTV.  This combination of course was influenced by the results of my recent poll in order to accommodate both people who prefer text newsletters and those who prefer watching videos.

As usual, if you have any comments on this interesting episode of Motivational WebTV with the US Navy aircraft carrier (or any other episode for that matter), just leave them here in the comments section after this blog post or at my Facebook Motivation page – oh, and please hit the Like button at the blog sidebar if you are on Facebook.

I hope you get a real kick out of watching this special episode as much as I did while going through this big ship when I was in San Diego earlier this summer.

Motivational Sayings From August Week 4

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

#motivationalquotes #inspirationalquotes #quotes #quote #inspirational #motivational

Here are the motivational sayings that I posted on my Motivation Facebook page for week 4 of this month.

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” ~ Henry Ford

“Attitude is greatly shaped by influence and association” – Jim Rohn

“We all made mistakes. It’s how we come back from the mistakes that matters” ~ Tom Welling

“A person, who never made a mistake, never tried anything new” ~ Albert Einstein

‎‎”Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.” – Zig Ziglar

I think Henry Ford hit it right on the nail with his words about continuing to learn no matter what your age.  Learning is a great antidote to aging.  I also really like Zig Ziglar’s about failure as it reminds us that in life, it’s okay to fail at things and our response will determine the outcome rather than having the failure as the outcome itself.  Here are some more of the motivational sayings that were posted during the week.

“Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

‎‎‎”One person with a belief is equal to ninety-nine who have only interests.” ~ John Stuart Mill

“It is in the moments of decision, that your destiny is shaped.” – Tony Robbins

“From a worldly point of view, there is no mistake so great as that of always being right.” – Samuel Butler

“Make failure your teacher, not your undertaker.” ~ Zig Ziglar

Zig Ziglar did it again with another profound quote above that also has connection to failures.  Failures are experiences to be learned from, that’s all.

I hope you liked these motivational sayings.  I post these on a daily basis on my Motivation Facebook page.  They helped me keep on track each day if you would like the same, hit the Like button for this Facebook page.

Motivational Videos Teaching Diversity

Friday, August 27th, 2010

#diversity #motivational — Since I’m switching gears this weekend to prepare for my diversity talk at Daemen College in the Buffalo area next Monday, I thought that I would list out (with links of course) all the previous episodes of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV that featured some sort of element teaching diversity related skills.  I try to shoot a new motivational video with this in mind for every couple of episodes.

Here are the past motivational videos released so far with this important topic;

Episode #5 – Diversity Skills For Success – the very first episode where I introduced the concept of diversity skills for achieving success

Episode #8 – How Chinese Food Helps Build Relationships – I take you inside a real Chinese dim sum restaurant to show you how ethnic food can help foster relationships with different people.

Episode #11 – Multicultural Festival Highlights - video highlights of the many different pavilions and entertainment performances at the Carrassauga Festival in my hometown.

In addition to speaking on motivation and personal growth, I also speak on diversity as my other major topic for keynotes and seminars.  All of my speaking programs are listed and described depending on the type of audience at my website.

Since there is so much diversity in many countries these days, particularly in the leading industrial nations such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Germany, achieving success today involves being able to be effective in the diverse working envirnoments.

The more prepared you are in terms of dealing with diversity, the better you will be in any diverse working environment.  This is true for both ethnic and non-ethnic people alike in any country.

This is why I have decided to produce some motivational videos teaching diversity so that people can get some exposure to the concept of developing diversity skills.  So if you haven’t watched the above episodes of Motivational WebTV, I would suggest that you give them a view.

Self Improvement From Poolside In Motivational WebTV

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

#selfimprovement #motivational #swimming  –  Here is the first ever episode of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV featuring self improvement from poolside as we took advantage of the nice summer weather.

A half naked motivational speaker in the form of yours truly talks about a personal example of comfort zone expansion in the pool.  I did not know how to swim as a kid and it took a high school gym teacher we nicknamed ‘Duckie’ (because he also happened to be the school swim team coach) who forced us all to do lengths in the school pool that taught us how to swim.

Swimming now represents a big part of my overall fitness activities especially in the summer months when I’m in the pool at least three times per week doing laps.  But this progression of self improvement also led to my own development as a certified scuba diver.

In this episode of Motivational WebTV, I dig out some great video footage of beautiful Caribbean marine life taken during some of my scuba dives down south.  I show the real reasons why I chose to become a scuba diver and how this would not have been possible if I didn’t expand my comfort zone in the water all those years prior to my dive certification.

If you like tropical fish, the footage of the marine life here will really be entertaining as I have some really beautiful fish captured on video.  The entire episode although entertaining with the inclusion of the scuba diving video footage, also takes a Thomas Edison quotation into mind as our self improvement lesson.

Thomas Edison once said,

“If we did all the things that we are capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves”.

This was most certainly true for me in the personal example I used in this episode and you can also end up astonishing yourself in your life as well if you take this quote to heart.  Here is the episode.

Your comments are of course always welcome either here at the end of this blog post or at my Motivation Facebook pages.

Working Hard To Pump Out More Motivational Videos

Friday, August 13th, 2010

#motivational #motivation #inspirational #inspiration

I’m going to be shooting my third new episode of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV this week sometime this afternoon which will be a record for me. The most I’ve ever shot during one single week was two when I was in San Diego during my mini-speaking tour there. And for those two, I didn’t completely edit them during that week either but for this week, I’m actually going to try and completely edit all three episodes as well.

I started out with my first poolside episode earlier in the week followed by one in my home office using a few props. The third episode will also be indoors but will showcase some of my art collection at home to illustrate something about diversity.

After this third new episode, I will have a nice cushion of about five new episodes of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV waiting to be released online. I think that I feel quite comfortable with about a month’s worth of new motivational videos ahead of time.

My poll about whether to turn my monthly Motivational Quotes Success Newsletter into a video is going nicely – thanks everyone for your votes. I will keep it open until the end of next week when I have to decide what to do for the September issue. If you haven’t yet cast your vote, just go to the text versus video post for details on what this was all about.

As for the videos, I’m still learning about shooting and editing as I produce these.  I know that sometimes I can do a bit better with the lighting or sound but hopefully at least the messages of each episode comes through okay.

I’m going to work hard to keep pumping out those motivational videos for you as we now have a global audience from over 30 different countries now watching.  Thanks so much everyone for watching and if you know others who can benefit from Motivational WebTV, please let them know about it.

Four CD Motivational Audio Program Stock Coming

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

#selfhelp #motivational #motivation  —  Since I converted the audio version of my book The Life Champion In You from a single MP3 CD to a four CD motivational audio program which also includes a bonus CD containing the digital ebook version of my book, it has been selling nicely.  Seems that people want to be able to play these CDs in their car systems during drives (which they couldn’t do before with the MP3 CD).

The first batch of the new four-CD program is almost sold out so if any orders come in this week for this product, there could be slight delay in shipping.  A new batch of additional stock is being made this week.

If you haven’t seen some of the reviews for this motivational audio set, check them out at The Life Champion In You audio CD program.

This time around, the cover labels for the box containing the four CDs will be adjusted slightly larger so that they fit a bit better than the ones used on the first batch.  Live and learn.

Many people find that by listening to motivational audio in addition to just reading, will greatly enhance the learning and absorption of important concepts.  This is true for not only personal development subjects but for almost any topic out there.  Many people just prefer to listen rather than to read.  So this four CD set provides them with this mode of learning.

I expect to have the new stock available by the weekend.  Thanks to everyone who ordered this four CD motivational audio program version of The Life Champion In You and I hope you enjoy it immensely. I’ll have exciting news of another new audio CD product very soon.  All my books and CDs are listed at my website.

So the next episode of Clint Cora Motivational WebTV especially dedicated to procrastinators everywhere and hopefully offers an effective solution for procrastination.  This is one of two episodes that I shot while in southern California for my mini-speaking tour there a few weeks ago.  This first episode from California also happens to show some nice Pacific Ocean coastline and beach scenery for your viewing pleasure.
